OUR ZERO-WASTE PHILOSOPHY

Our slow fashion garments are handcrafted by artisan communities in India, supporting women in the workplace and preserving ancient methods of textile production. We follow a zero-waste design and production process, producing minimal quantities to eliminate excess waste. Every purchase contributes to women empowerment projects in India through our charity partners.

Due to their handcrafted nature, returned items (excluding final sale items) are eligible for store credit in the form of a Daughters of India Gift Card. Your credit never expires and can be used on any piece, including new collections.

LODGE A RETURN

To lodge a return, please visit our Returns Portal

Returns are accepted within 30 days from shipment. Unfortunately we are unable to honour a return outside of the 30 day return period.
Items must be returned in original condition — unworn, unwashed, with tags attached.
Shipping costs are non-refundable. As all duties and taxes are included in your order price, there are no separate duty charges to refund.
Returns are refunded via store credit in the form of a Daughters of India Gift Card. Return shipping is the customer's responsibility. We strongly recommend choosing a trackable shipping service.
No returns or store credits on final sale items.
Once you have placed your order we are unable to make any changes. This includes cancelling or swapping of any sizes or items within your order. Rest assured we do have a flexible returns policy should you receive your order and it’s not quite right for you.
We aim to process returns as quickly as possible. As we are a small team please allow up to 5 business days for your return to be processed once we receive the item. Please be aware of processing delays for Sale/Discount/Promotion items.
We are unable to offer price adjustments for promotions and discounts. Promotions and discounts cannot be applied retroactively to orders placed before a promotion commenced or after it has concluded.

LOST OR MISSING RETURNS

Lost or missing returns are not the responsibility of Daughters of India. We strongly advise using a trackable return shipping service to ensure your return is delivered safely.

All prices include Swiss VAT and import duties — no hidden fees at delivery.
